Calag Gangloff – individual cabins for aerial tramways

In the course of over 90 years in the design and manufacture of cars and cabins for cable cars and other transport systems, Gangloff likewise assumed a leading position in the construction of cabins for aerial tramways. From the world’s largest cabins in the 1980s in Val Thorens, Courchevel and Vaujany (France) to the first double-decker cabin in Samnaun (Switzerland) with a capacity of 180 passengers, or the iconic Stanserhorn CabriO (Switzerland), the aerial tramway at Arosa-Lenzerheide (Switzerland) or the aerial tramway in Portland OR (USA), Gangloff was always at the very forefront of this challenging field of lightweight body design and construction.

Together with the experienced team of former Gangloff engineers, production specialists and after-sales staff, combined with the cutting-edge production infrastructure, Calag maintains this long tradition in cabin construction for aerial tramways – in the highest Swiss quality.

The construction and production of individual design solutions require substantial know-how in lightweight car body manufacturing. More than 130 years of car body tradition at Calag safeguard perfect solutions in this special field.

Whether you need cabins for 8 people or even for more than 200 passengers, we are the ideal partner for your aerial tramway project.

Individual cabin designs

The cabins of any transport system always serve as a symbol, an attraction or even a hallmark of countries, cities, mountain regions or urban areas. A ride in a cabin is not a means to an end but an experience in itself. This requires beautifully designed, timeless and modern cabins that can be perfectly integrated into the overall concept and marketed well.

We are used to working closely with architects and designers to create the best possible design and functionality according to customer requirements. We look forward to your challenge.
